I have misplaced the software disc for my praktica dmmc 4 digital camera. I can not load photo on to my computer without it. I need to download the software. Please help.

The software disk contains third party programs of which Sanyo gave you license to use. You can download separate programs but you will also need to purchase their license. For the connectivity if you are using windows XP then just plug-in your camera into the USB port and it will automatically install so you can copy your photos and videos. The CD has the following software:

QuickTime 6.5

Ulead Photo Explorer 8.5 SE Basic (Windows)/Photo Explorer for Mac 2.0
(Macintosh)

Motion Director SE 1.1 (Windows)

Ulead DVD MovieFactory 4.0 SE (Windows)

You do not need the disk. You computer has all the drivers and tools needed to retrieve the images from your camera. I have repaired thousand of digital camera over the years and have never needed a disk to download or connect a camera to a computer.

Connect it through the data cable and copy down ur images .. or take the memory card card out and copy the photos thro the memory card reader!

If the problem still exists, turn off you computer, connect the camera and restart the computer.

The operating system may install kind of a generic driver to allow you to access the camera a a simpkle 'mass storage device.'
If it finds and installs drivers, the camera will appear as a 'removable disc drive' that you can access as any other drive although you may have to open nested folders to see your pictures.
