Cracked screen and now an orange blob

Can the screen be fixed. I have a crack and orange blob but can still hear the radio.

I am sorry to hear about your Insignia® Pilot MP3 player's cracked screen. Unfortunately cracked screens are considered to be physical damage and are not covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty nor by any Best Buy™ performance service plan or product replacement plans.

The MP3 player may still be serviceable but you would have to pay for the cost of repair. Your local Best Buy store can help you by sending the unit out for an estimate. However, my experience with these kinds of repairs is that they can often come close or exceed the cost of a comparable replacement item. It may make more economic sense to simply purchase a new MP3 player.

Cracked Screen


All of you - call Sansa and see if it is still in warranty. If so, get it replaced. Otherwise, get a new one, b/c no repair service (to the extent that they even exist) is going to be cheaper than getting a new player. Sansa may have reduced pricing for getting a new player, even if it is out of warranty (no guarantees).

Screen Cracked


Unfortunately you wont be able to fix the crack screen..you will have to get a new MP3 player...

Sorry to say, but there's really no viable way to repair a cracked/broken LCD screen, you'll just have to fly blind for the time being.

However, Apple is usually pretty diligent with these kinds of problems, and you can probably get a replacement (for a fee) No guarantees though, good luck!

p.s. If you feel like you're pretty proficient with electronics, you can check here for info on DIY replacement parts.

just press the small menu button in bottom left corner, take the dial and touch it in top middle and turn just barely almost to the 3 hour position on a clock and thats ur music

LCD Problems


an lcd screen usually gets messed up by magnets or a drop more than 6 feet. but i dont know what you mean by messed up is it cracked if it is its dommed but if it just has little blobs of black you cant propbably can get it fixed at frys or somtin.

the same thing happened to me so i told my sister and she said to buy a new one then the next day go take back the broken mp3 player with the new receipt and ask for your money back it will be like it never broke at all.
