Make sure saw dust not blocking where oil comes onto chain-Make sure you are using correct chain oil for Season/Outside temperature-Summer or winter oil-Chainsaws on the whole use little chain oil-on inspection of chain and Bar area you should see a smear of oil-Check wood you have cut there should be small traces of oil if not clean unit and verify oil type.If this doesn't work return unit there is a Factory defect.
Any good quality chain saw 'bar' oil is suitable and it does not need to be an expensve brand either: it is highly recommended that you use a specially blended chain saw 'bar' oil but in emergency you can you fresh 'thick' (e.g. older) car engine oil but don't make it a habit as your chain and bar will wear off a lot faster!
Item 4 lists available bars for your saw, a 14" bar for your saw is pn 114731-01S, $17.85 if available. Item 5 lists available chains for your saw, a 14" chain for your saw is pn 114735-01S updates to M14SC, $12.95 if available. You can probably take your chain to a neighborhood chainsaw shop and have a replacement made cheaper.
Remington has ceased production and replacement parts are limited to what is on hand. HTH Lou
Actually, I own one of these battery operated Ryobi chain saws too. It is normal for the saw to run slow. Remember it is battery powered, not gas, so its not going to be a high rpm saw. Be patient whit it, and you'll get about 4-6 cuts per battery. I take mine camping. It sure is nice not having to listen to a two-stroke while relaxing in the woods! Dont plan on cutting lots of stuff, either, or you'll burn up the motor. This thing works great for very mild workloads.
I assume you are asking about bar oil. Most electric chain saws use 30 weight non detergent oil for the bar (the cheap stuff from your local walmart).
Please do not try to use bar oil intended for gasoline powered saws, as it is formulated to be very thick, and will not flow properly, wearing out your bar and chain prematurely.
