1988 GMC pickup 4x4 350 engine its hard starting and will not idle i gave it a full tune up even a new fuel filter ive checked and changed all sencors on the motor

Do a compression test. The pistons and rings may not seal enough anymore. Try push-starting it in 2nd gear. When you push it ,it will turn the engine faster and build up more compression, enabling combustion to take place. Aslso check if the fuel pressure regulator is not leaking through the vacuum hose, causing it to flood.

1988 honda shadow vt1100, wont start, put new battery, new starter solenoid, new brushes in starter, solenoid clicks when I go to start it but nothing happens, fuses are fine. What is happening?

Hi, sounds like you are getting insuficiant power getting to the starter, assuming you have checked the engine turns over freely and is not seized, the switch circuit you have proved is working (as the clicking noise at the solenoide indicates this) as the solenoide switches the battery power to the starter motor, i ask myself if either the battery is suffiantly charged, or the leads from the battery to the solenoide/starter motor and earth leads are making good contact,
At the solenoide join together the both leads bypassing the solenoide using a pair of insulated pliers and the engine should turn over if the battery contains 12-14 volts, this can be done either with the ignition switch in the on/off position when ignition is off the engine will turn but will not start

Doesn't start up , and oil light is on my 1986 yamaha fz600

The oil light wont go off until there is oil pressure ie: it has to start first.

" Doesnt start up" is not really enough info to offer any ideas,
it has an oil light so the battery has some voltage.
Does the starter motor turn it over?
What happened when it stopped?
When did it last run?
Has it sat unused for a long time?
Will it roll start?
When was it last serviced?

Engine wont turn over from starter motor...

my dad works for a starter and alternator repair shop, and as for the solenoid clicking really fast, means that battery is to dead, one click and no movement of starter also in dicates low baterry or starter is stuck in a "dead spot". have you taken the staret apart?? if so , were the brushes longer that 3/8 of an inch? and check the internal grounds, sometimes they get loose. my email addy is if u have any more questions or for more details, e mail me and i can help ya out.
