Jsph just asked: how do i unlock my file which i filed in my USB were write protected? and I don't remember where did i get or copy the protected file. can i reformat the whole USB unit of 8G? and delete the all files inside.

If you're on a mac go applications -> utilities -> disk utility and reformat it from there

Should be fine after that!

Remember to save all the files from it first!

One of two things:
Either your flash drive/card has a hardware copy protect on it (usually in the form of a little tab) Just be sure that it is turned off.
Or
You've somehow managed to tick the "read only" box on your files. Highlight the files, right click, go to properties, and unclick the checkbox for "read only". This may have to be done as administrator.

I'm really opting for the first one, Most people don't realize that their card or stick has copy protection on it and wonder why they can't delete files.

idea uses huawei eg162g data card to unlock this you need to edit the deviceinfo.xml file
go through it and where ever it is written "<item name="WCDMA" Alias="" SMMode="PDU" ProductNet="WCDMA" SimUnlock="Y">" change it to <item name="WCDMA" Alias="" SMMode="PDU" ProductNet="WCDMA" SimUnlock="N">
and save the file remember it is right protected file. to overwrite this save the edited file to some other location and then copy and paste in the program files/idea net setter/

close your idea net setter and restart net setter now you can use any sim cards

dis type of problem comes when sm files inside d folder which iu want to copy restricted allowing files to copied...
u can copy it by fallowing procedure....
first open urs folder and select some of urs files not all of them and copy it to flash drive by makin a new folder....and similarly copy other files in that new folder..
if u do like that u can copy all files eaisly......
