-   I have the same problem. a light band occurs down the page in one spot. the machine is only three weeks old , and has not done much work at all.
tried replacing the toners and checking inside for any obstructions...found all to be ok. problem still occuring. -   ooks

I had the saqme problem. seems like one of the developer rollers (which is part of the drum unit) was shot. maybe you can get the drum unit replaced under warranty.
have you tried changing the drum? The drums are the parts that aply the toner to the paper sheet. In some printers the drums are included in the toner cartridge but in other cases they aren't... You can also clean the old one with alcohol, in this case remove it from the printer and clean it outside and only put it back when it is completely dry!

What is the meaning of "dev. home error" on the Samsung CLP-300? It seems to be a common problem but no-one has an answer! It suggests that the developer unit has not returned to it's 'home' position after a print cycle, but if so, what detects this and why does it happen?

I installed a new black cartridge into my samsung CLP-300 and now my print software is saying that none of my toner cartridges or my imaging unit is installed. I also have all red lights on the printer and it wont print.
