this problem will occur when the audio driver is not installed

reinstalling the driver will make the mediaplayer to work.

Try checking the driver.

Right Click on "My Computer" > Manage > Device Manager ..

Look for the sound card driver and see if it has an X or a ? mark on it. If it has an X, then you need to reinstall the driver or if it has ? you need to do the same. You can actually search online for the latest driver of your computer.

My windows HP computer wont let me use a multi media projector ? Tried hot keys. I had a new windows version installed the other day and has not worked since

Hello kirk201,
This should easily be fixed by looking up the updated drivers for your display (Ie video card etc).
Since it's a new version of Windows it more than likely doesn't have the updated version.

I have just bought a COSMI 2003 perfect firewall system. Is it viable and will it update to present requirements

What a joke; you didn't list your requirements to consider, and I don't think I ever heard a professional call software that shipped viable or not.

Just because nobody ever lent credence to 8-year-old security software (that was maybe $5) doesn't mean you can't build a multi-billion dollar business out of making it do something for you. If you want a firewall though, update your router with one that has some reasonable firewall features from a company with an actual reputation and business volume making sure their firewalls work awesome; or use free ones associated with your operating system's environments, and perhaps consider OpenDNS if your ISP doesn't offer DNS options (e.g. not resolving as such as caution.)

My keyboard and mouse work but i cannot make my media buttons work i dont have have the drivers fot it

What the make and model? Most manufacturers will have the drivers for download on their websites.
Try that first then come back if it doesn't work with the drivers installed.

the following id taken from my own XP media centre laptop.

line 1 [boot loader]
line 2 timeout=30
line 3 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
line 4 [operating systems]
line 5 multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Media Center Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

ignore the "line 1,2,3 etc" I added them for clarity the formatting in this answer pane messes up the last line.

also before you get to edit the start up file make sure that the default operating system listed is the sae as line 5 starting from the "

hope this helps.

Multi Media 11

You have to create a play list. Load it everytime you start media player. Or you can try a different player....such as Nero or other players, do a google search for music players.
