Hi there
My ipod has been working find for over a year and has recently starting 'crashing'. I go to change tracks or turn the volume up and it locks, can't even turn it off. I plugged it back into my mac and went to the summary page of my ipod and clicked on 'restore' . This puts it back to its factory settings. It does mean that you have to upload all your material again but it did make it work. However, it did lock again, but rebooting it did work for a while and means it works until i can get to the store to get it fixed. Hope this helps!

I locked my apple ipod and now i cant get into it

This is probably an old iPod nano, as I can see in the picture. If it isn't, the Screen Lock feature might still be there. Just hook the iPod nano up to iTunes, and sync. It'll unlock itself.
If not, try a restore (if that's possible)
Hoped this helped!

IPOD NANO 8 G is locked. How do I unlock?

Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of the iPod Nano.
  • Plug the other end of the iPod USB cable into a free USB port on a Mac or PC computer.
  • Open the iTunes application by clicking on the Dock icon on a Mac or using the Start menu on a PC.
  • Click on the name of your iPod Nano under the "Devices" list in the iTunes window.
  • Click on the "Sync" button to establish a connection between your iPod and the computer.
  • Click on the eject symbol next to your iPod's name after the syncing process has finished.
  • Unplug your iPod Nano. The device will be unlocked and you will be able to access all normal features again.

    WARNING
To unlock your iPod Nano, you must connect the device to the computer it has been previously synced with.

My ipod nano 2nd gen's screen won't display anything..

I have had this problem recently myself and would like you to know that it is possible to fix. The white screen error or otherwise known as "white screen of death" is caused by the lcd color screen on the ipod itself. That is why its functions still work but the screen does not. Once you replace the color screen it will be as good as new.

    My Ipod Nano is locked

Have you tried holding Menu and the center buttons at the same time? That will reset the device and probably unlock it. Don't worry, it won't erase your data.

To change the language, you might have to find the options and language changer and change it from there.

As for your computer not recognizing iTunes or anything else, try doing a Windows Update.

Same goes for charging and screen problems, try resetting or doing Windows Update and see if that will help you.

Glad I could help you out:)

    Apple Ipod nano 4gb

You can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
