have the same problem, display garbled on all 4, 2 line Motorola handsets, is there a way to reset the phone by holding some keys down? Left batteries out for awhile, no help.

Same problem, with 2 separate units. Can't read caller ID, numbers dialed, directory, anything. Problem started roughly about the same time on both units even though 1 is a year older than the other.

Yes, same problem. We replaced the batteries in each handset but it did not fix the problem. I have the manual but this issues was not addressed.
