Question about Toshiba 51H84 51" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

2 Answers

Replacing Screens I have a Toshiba 51H84 that I bought 3 replacement screens for. The tv has been apart for a few months and I can't remember the order the screens go in. I know the names but I need to know by color. There's the clear one, the dark grey one, and the white one. Also does the white one need to be a certain way since it looks like both sides are different.

Water behind screen

Did you just sell your TV? Because if you did, I'm probably the one who just bought it. Paid $200. Anyways, if not, I did fix it. I dismantled the TV, starting with the bottom. Pull off the speaker cover then unscrew everything on the bottom in order to loosen the top screen portion. Unscrew the top screen and pull it off slowly, disconnecting the one wire that connects it to the rest of the TV. Once the screen is off, you can seperate from the frame it by unscrewing it. I then cleaned both screens (there are two layers) with distilled water and a microfiber cloth. You might be able to use other cleaning methods but I recommend plenty of water and then a non abrasive cloth. Make sure it's clean and dry before putting it back up. Picture is like new and I love it!
