This all just started a few days ago, whenever i would turn it on and play my music for some reason the screen gets all wierd and the Sansa turns off and starts over again, It's always been doing that ever since, but what I can't figure out is why my videos,the radio and my pictures all work fine, but not my music!! please help me

You can try to reset the device by pressing the power button for about 15 to 20 seconds..if that doesnt work I would recommend you to go to the sandisk site to update the firmware on your device or you can contact sandisk to they can help you with updating the firmware on your device..Please follow the link below to get the firmware http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376

I've had this happen a couple of times in the last 6 months. You can get it to play again by chosing the format option from the settings menu. Of course, then you've lost everything you had loaded on to it. Download your music/audio books again and they will play.

easy way to format
1.Shutdown player 2.Hold Rec button 3.Turn player on 4.Plug your player into the PC 5.Go to My computer 6.Find a Icon named 16Mb Format 7.Open that and make a new text file 8.Name it sansa.fmt 9.unplug player and it will say Formatting..... 10.when its finished it will reset , or shut off, when its done turn it on and see if that helps

Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Sounds like you have two problems here. First my guess is your files bought from walmart are corrupted some how. just delete the ones that are giving you fits and call it a day. Second you mentioned it wont even sync music,,,, Are you saying none of your music or just the walmart ones ?
