power steering pumps ,electric ? i have swopped bits over between these units before now with varying degrees of sucess ,even the renault uses the same pump but all i can advise is strip the unit and see ?? as for the wiring then anything is possible but these cars and a few others do suffer with the ignition switch which is made by clauser ,Just buy anbother one 194 euros as a complete kit with the door locks and fuel cap as this kit is cheaper in the dealers than a individuel item ,dont forget to change the chip out of the old key for the new key
If gas is getting to the fuel rail, it is getting to injectors. If fuel pressure is good, probably the injector circuit is not working. With a test light you can check the injector circuit. Post back for further help. What year and make is the car?
Fuel reg. is connected to the fuel rail where the return line is connected, my thoughts are you mentioned air in your lines.. crack open fuel lines and run fuel pump to release air from lines. Pump then should prime all lines must be primed turn engine over to release air ( No Smoking) then tighten lines. fuel rail might have valve, (looks like tire valve) if so it is recommended that air is relieved at air valve
98 citreon saxo 1.6 8valve,, won start.if it do start ,it runs for 3seconds, fuel pressure at rail is only 2to3pounds this modle have not got pressure regulator on the rail the code reader tells me no code in memory, any ideas ? john
Change the fuel filter. If still problems, check the fuel pressure (about 55 PSI) at the fuel rail with engine running. Could be worn fuel pump. Is the check engine light on? If so, rent a scanner and follow where any codes lead.
under the steering wheel there is a browny orange block connector, this needs to be cut out of the circuit and the correct colours joined to each other. this is a common problem on citroen saxos i have encountered this problem myself .
