OK SO WHAT CAVEATS DO YOU SUGGEST TO OPEN THE METAL SHIELD AROUND THE MICROWAVE PROJECTOR AND GET ITS CONVERTER OUT OF ITS VAULT;WITHOUT ANY POWER.

Same problem-- no power, no lights but I am confident that it is not the power souce. Is there a circuit breaker/fuse?

Usually they do have fuses in side as well as the one in the mains plug. With microwaves I would get an engineer rather than take it apart yourself.
