DEH-P6800 Auxillary Problems

I have a pioneer DEH-P6800MP Headunit fitted, and have brought and installed the CD-RB10 cable and RCA adapter to allow me to plug my MP3 in and get my music from that.

After fitting it all and pluging my MP3 in it did not work, after referring to the instruction manual, i tried turning the aux setting on, however, i could not find the option to turn it on or off anywhere!

Any ideas on how to bet it working?

Many Thanks.

Iain.

I cant figure out where the input rca cables go in my deh p7400. i am trying to use my ipod with it. i have turned aux on.

The 7400 does not have an RCA input, you need to purchase a separate adapter like this one. It is also known as a "CD-RB10" and a search on ebay will bring up plenty of options. Cheers, Dan

I have a pioneer dehp6800mp and i want to install a ipod adapter cable, will the pioneer cd i 200 work? and will it also charge my ipod while its plugged in?

You would need the Pioneer CDIB100 iPod adapter instead.
It might charge your iPod, but it does not charge some iPod devices such as the Nano, iPod Touch, and iPhone.

How do i remove my faceplate on my pioneer dem-p6800 head unit

when you open the face, there should be a catch on the bottom in the middle, press that catch and pull the face towards you.

you can use an adapter from ipod to rca jacks and go through the aux input, then just select that source.

Cheers!

Ipod connection

As far as iPod connections - they will work with a regular iPod and an iPod Nano. You have two options depending on how much you want to spend and how much convenience you want.

Option 1 - Use a Pioneer CD-IB100 adapter. This will plug into the docking port on the bottom of the IPod, charge it, offer control and song information on the head unit. You need to use this one and not the newer CD-I200 cable because your head unit is not compatible with the newer piece.

Option 2 - Use a Pioneer CD-RB10 adapter and a 3.5mm to RCA cable that will plug into the headphone jack of the iPod. You will only get audio input to the head unit but this option is somewhat cheaper.

As far as the clock settings - hold the 'source' button to shut the unit off(key still has to be on). Push the 'function' button until options appear - you can switch between options by repeatedly pushing the 'function' button and adjust settings by using the up/down/left/right arrows.
