Question about Audio & Video Receivers

I need the ribbon connector from the CD/DVD pickup to the PCB under it in a JVC unit with 2 model numbers. One is JVC Receiver model CA-HXD77 and the other is, system number HX-D77 I have had no luck talking with anyone at JVC and none of the suppliers can find a listing for the unit.

I am not just sure how this works yet, but if the fix is at the "Click Here" spot, it is not correct. The ribbon is 25 pin and about 3/4" wide by 4" long.

I'm sorry, I think that I sent you the wrong response. If I had the part number I wouldn't need help. The parts places that I have called can't seem to find a manual for this unit.

Receiver remote no longer works

It sounds as though your remote is working fine. Since the storm coincided with your problem I would say that your receiver suffered a power surge that damaged the infrared receiver inside the unit. One other thing to try is to unplug the unit from the wall for about one minute, then plug it back in and try it. If that doesn't do the trick you will have to send it to a repair facility.

Good Luck,
BB

My cd trays are locked and wont open on my jvc stereo model #Ca-Hxd77 system #Hxd77 and i dont know how to unlock it.

Most CD trays have a small hole at front for you insert a straightened paperclip about 1-2 mm inwards. This allows release of tray when power is off. I assume this is what you mean by mechanically locked, not locked by software.

Onkyo receiver audio problem

Called Onkyo and here is the solution they gave me.

1. Turn on unit.

2. Press and hold VIDEO 1 button.

3. While pressing VIDEO 1 button, press Speaker A.

4. You should see "CLEAR" on the display for a second and the unit will go on stand-by mode.

5. Turn on the unit again and check if sound is back.

Hope this helps.

Have you tried to? I would need to see a wiring block. unit to unit, labeled at each unit including the monitor. I'll bet you can do what you seek to acheive..Give me more info, I'll show you how to do it.Just a list of makes, models, serial #s. If you have all this in PDF files, shoot 'em to me.I'll draw thr lines for you.

JVC RX558 VBK, Crackling noise from speakers

A quick quess of mine is the following:

The OVERLOAD indicator lights up when the receiver is maxing out on the current it is sending to the speakers. My guess is there is possibly something wrong with the receiver itself, especially since the B speakers won't play. Either that, or something is broken in your speakers or you are using a set of speakers that have too low an impedance rating for your receiver.

i/ve found that sony has the best single trays (and freq range)..i would stay away from multi cd players and any jvc (jvc freq range is horrible)...your speakers must match these componets....(bose, yamaha or customize )
