Question about Philips 42PF7421D 32 in. LCD HDTV
I'm lloking for the mounting screw size for the screws that go directly into the back of the TV. For some reason these were not included when I purchased the TV.

I don't know the model in particular, but most of these sets can be wall mounted if you have the screw holes for the mounting plate in the back of the set.
What I believe the tech was telling you would be that it is best to not wall mount the set. The reason is that we found that we have been seeing a higher failure rate from sets being wall mounted. This is because the surface of the wall reflects some heat back in the set, and thus causes it to internaly run warmer. This is also the same from running a set inside of a cabinet. The complete surface area behind the set being very close to the wall surface blocks cooler air circulation. It is best to run these sets on a stand that is out in the opened at least 1 foot away from any wall surface.
