SOURCE: Headlight & Signal Light change out for 202 GMC Yukon

The headlights are fastened in with 2 L-shaped pins. You should see them at the top of the light assemblies. Pull up on them, and they pull straight up and out. Your light assemblies are now free to remove. Now you can access the turn signals.

2002 4.8l gmc yukon oil pressure problem

My suggestion would be to check it with a mechanical gauge.
You would need to use a Tee fitting to use the sensor to have fuel pressure.
If the mechanical gauge shows steady pressure at idle, it could be a problem in the wiring or the instrument cluster.

My 2002 yukon cranks but does not start on 1st trun of key but will on 2nd?

Turn the key on and listen for the fuel pump to run for about 2 seconds. If you don't hear it run the may be a problem with the fuel pump relay or its cicuit. The extra cranking from the first and second try builds up oil pressure and that will energize the pump through the oil pressure switch.

If the pump runs for the two seconds try to start it on the first key turn. If it still does not start there may be a pressure or deleivery issue. So many vehicles no longer have external servicable fuel filters, yours may not. If it does though you may want to change it.

Also, does a security light come one and saty on in the dash?

The Message Center on my 2002 GMC Yukon XL is giving false readings. It is telling me to check the oil and check the fluid level. I have had both of those items checked and they are fine, the oil pressue...

the oil level sensor is located in the oil pan. There should be a yellowish/brownish plastic looking large diameter nut sticking out the side of the pan with some wires going to it. Unplug those wires and see if the message goes away. If it does then don't worry about it until you have the means to do so. Just monitor the oil level ever thousand miles or so.

The senors are pretty reasonable priced and available form the dealer. They are threaded into the pan and a medium sized crescent wrech is all you really need to remove and install.

Girlfriend's 2002 Yukon will crank but then occasionally RPM's will drop and it will almost die. Replaced O2 sensors but ... still occurring?

Look at the mass air sensor next to the air filter, check to make sure the clamps are tightend and it is properly sealed. Quick oil change places ar famous for not putting it all back together properly after checking the air cleaner.

Change lisence plate lights

Look where the wires go to the lights underneath. Grab the white rubber piece that goes into the light housing and twist 1/4 turn. Then pull. The bulb just pushes into its terminal in the white rubber.
