Question about AT&T 1726 Digital Answering Machine
When the answering machine answers, the message it leaves is a computerized voice saying "Power failure" and the date and time. I am pretty sure we are not having a power failure every time the answering machine answers the phone.
Power Failure Recovery
If the system is disconnected from the AC power it will not operate. Your announcemen and messages are retained in memory during a power failure but you will need to reset the clock. See the instructions on the bottom of the unit. If the message window displays CL, you need to reset the clock. See the instruction on the bottom of the unit.
