The problem might be with your microphone. I suggest visiting a customer care office to have the problem looked into or if you have a warranty, return it to the place you bought it and ask for a replacement
Sounds like you reciever speaker is out. It might be cheaper to get a new phone than fix this one. Check with out a local cell repair store to see what they charge then make an informed decision.
Check Windows Sound mixer for application volume. Down in system tray at right side of taskbar double click sound icon for XP or click sound icon once and click Mixer for Vista. Look through volume settings for your phone application. Make sure it is not muted and volume is up.
After receiving a message with sound, push the button on the side that activates voice dialing. It sometimes takes activating it twice, but it will turn the sound back on.

I have the reverse problem. Callers can hardly hear me.
I saw a setting in the headunit that allows you to specify where the audio plays for incoming calls. You can choose the Left Front Speaker, the Right Front Speaker or Both. Check the manual and make sure its set to both.
