Cuisinart The workbowl, lid and disc on my Cuisinart Custom 11 food processor are jammed. I can't unlock the safety interlock or get the lid off. I unscrewed the 3 phillips screws on the bottom, but the top still doesn't separate. Suggestions?

Make sure the Pusher sleeve lock switch is unlocked, and then push the clip that says "Push here" inward and lift up. If this fails, send in to Cuisinart for repair (call first), or break the bowl, etc and re-order the parts (drastic and expensive, but effective).

The lid will not unlock

If your talking about the lid on the cafree, you lift up at the back of the lid (the part that extends over the handle).

Need replacement lid for Cuisinart DBG300

I believe your model is actually the DGB300. Available replacement parts can be ordered online from Cuisinart at:

http://www.cuisinart.com/discontinued/coffee_bar/dgb-300.html

Unfortunately it may be necessary to order the complete carafe. You may wish to try contacting Cuisinart using their web inquiry form to see if they are able to provide the lid as a separate part:

My DGB-700BC cuisinart coffee maker grinds beans but then gets stuck and will not continue brew cycle. keeps beeping. please help!!!

We bought our Cuisinart 12 cup grind n brew less than a year ago. Almost as soon as we started using it we began having problems with it hanging up between the grinding and brewing cycles. It would sit and click. I tinkered with it incessantly and usually could, after fiddling long enough with the filter lid, get it to brew, but it was aggravating, to say the least.
When one morning it would NOT work I called Cuisinart and was relieved to hear that there is apparently a problem with some of the filter lids not seating properly. They are sending us a new one. The rep I spoke with told me that if this did not work they would replace the unit, so at least it sounds like their customer service may be on the ball.
So, call Cuisinart for a replacement of your filter lid and see if that solves your problem.

The cuisinart repeated;y clogs and sprays water

The two most common reasons for overflow have to do with the carafe lid and the filter basket - they key to smooth flow with this coffee maker is making sure the filter basket and carafe lid are making the proper contact with each other so that the center knob on the carafe lid pushes slightly up on the filter basket spring. Make sure the carafe lid is completely closed. Make sure the filter basket is pushed all the way down. Make sure you are not using the gold tone filter and a paper filter at the same time. For some reason, I get better results when the handle of the carafe is resting against the right side wall. If everything is in place, I would suspect a problem with either the filter basket being clogged or some problem with the carafe lid - call Cuisinart as they should be able to order these parts for you.

Lid will not close. Jams half way down

is there any build up any where aound the hinge? Rub a bit of butter on hinge then move lid up & down. this is kind of like oiling something but your using butter or margerine. I do this on the hinges of my doors when they start to squeek.

Coffee maker

The beeping is typically caused by the grinder safety interlock. There is a small pin on the clear grinder cover that needs to be in place so that it is depressed into the safety switch when the cover is closed. The interlock switch prevents the grinder from working when the cover is open. Check to be sure that the pin in the grinder cover is not broken.

Cannot get "beeping" to stop

Try the following if you opened the cover and unit beeps. This will happen if you set up the coffee maker and then decide that you want to add more water and coffee before starting it:

You will notice that there is a small white (typically) button on the clear cover of the coffee grinder. When it is in place and the lid is closed, the button depresses a safety interlock inside a small plastic post to prevent the grinder from working without the clear cover on and the lid closed. Quite sensible from a safety perspective. Depress the white button to reset the switch or take a pen and carefully do the same. The beeping should stop.
