Yeah, most probably you had the cam stacked somewhere where there was moisture or something... those gray lines only suggest that your lcds working mechanism have burnt out ..and since the pics are ok, what i can suggest is you may need to have that checked in a service center. they may price you high but as an alternative, just go to the service center and ask them what exact type of lcd your cam is using and buy it directly from a electronics shop which sells lcd replacements. you can get yourself some few bucks off... hope this helps you.

We just received the camera. We feel there should not b a fee. We just want info on it. If I can fix it before i decide to return it. The lens seem to lock up and the pic showing on the camera is a blur

With the lens lock up,you really need to know cameras. The pic on an LCD screen is it?Sometimes to get a focus, you need to hold the picture take button down, maybe about halfway. If that does not work, something is very wrong.Perhaps try taking a couple of photos and see the results. If you desire to attempt to repair it,you will definitely need patience. In the end,you may get frustrated, waste alot of time nd return it anyway.Actually, come to think of it,since it is new,I would contact who you purchased it from,I assume a company not a person?and see what they may do for you.If they do not do anything satisfactory, call Polaroid. When someone answers, immediately ask for a supervisor. The people who answer do not have much authority.A supervisor will get results of some kind.Good luck and I hope you get a free fix.Greg

Internal pics

if it's just seen on the XD card, then those pics were not saved in the internal/built in memory of the camera. Anyway, if you want to delete pics in the XD memory, just insert it in the card reader of your computer then just delete the pictures or format the memory card.

Screen LCD replacement

Hey, no problem, I did not know what you were saying anyway but Samsung camera, I know. Getting a part would be difficult in US also. I believe our part department has been tracing and pursuing to obtain parts from the Samsung Factory in New Jersey without any success. They may have closed it and assigned the task to a very small supplier. Better to find LCD screen from a broken unit in the internet perhaps in EBAY?? You may have to wait for a broken lens unit with good LCD. Good Luck. For further request, send our company a request email we may have one since we purchase tons of used digital cameras such as your situation.

Erased pics

If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.

Retrieving used memory space off DUOPro stick that can't be viewed on LCD or computer.

You have a bad sector on the memory stick.

Download the data to a computer and format the stick.

Good luck.

Sony DSC-T1 Inverted LCD Display

The cables connecting the display to the main board of the camera have probably come a bit loose. You can see a similar issue if you plug a computer monitor only half way in to the computer. If you're good with electronics you may be able to just take it apart yourself, and check the wires for the display. If you're not, I suggest you take it to a local repair shop.
