What size card are you using? If you use a card that is too large (say, a 2GB or 4GB on a camera that can only handle a 1GB), you will get this error. If the card is not too large, you may have a bad XD card. How many cards have you received this error on?

-   I bought new Xd picture card (1GB)....took some photos....nd then copied them to my computer using card reader.. when i reinsert the memory card to the camers ..it reads card error...it asked for format...i pressed "ok". it processed for 5 min....and then tells unable to format..i tried to format the card using my computer..there also the same message...-   phanidharnan

my L730 was knocked off the table and the lens bent slightly. it will still charge but will never turn on, even when its plugged into the computer. whenever i hit the power button, the lens makes the whirring sound ? the one it makes as the lens pops out. but it is only a short sound because its jammed. the screen always remains black. the only way to turn off the camera is by removing the batteries. should i get rid of my camera or is there a way to fix this?
