I Have An Epson Stylus DX6000 Printer Problem

I have an Epson DX6000 printer and everytime we go to print off a document the printer shuts down and a code E-04 keeps coming up, which is a paper jam, i have checked the printer and there is no paper jamed in the printer, iffact after pressing the start button again paper feeds itself through quite easily, i have also noticed that the digital display on the printer is locked up and we cannot seem to access any of the dials...what is wrong

We have the same problem on ours - no amount of searching has helped.
The only thing I can think of is one of the sensors is "stuck" in some way. I wanted more guideance before I started to look, so this is why I looked to this site.
Ah well..........
If you can help, let me know.

I have the same problem, that is a "paper" jam. Have tried re-installing it and looked för small items that could have fallen in to it but noting. Don´t know what to do and now it´s just a worthless piece of computer equippment.

i have an epson stylus DX7450 and it has just sucked in a whole piece of paper causing a 'paper jam' and i cannot find an eject button. all the printer manual says is turn it off, remove paper, and turn back on! of course i can't even see the paper to remove it!

please help if you can as i now cannot use it!

stylus dx6000; paper goes in about one inch. Then: paperjam, code E-04. No previous paperproblems, no bits and pieces of paper inside... perfectly clean. Used the manuel to tackle the problem: no result.

I mailed the supplier; we'll see what he can (wants to) do...

I have the epson DX600 too. Ive owned it for some time and have had no problems with it up to now that is. I have the very same problem. When attempting to print the paper feeds in an inch or two, however stops, despite the sound of the rollers trying to continue feeding. The error message E-04 (paper jam) appears, despite absolutely no jam.

Has anyone solved the problem yet?

Yes I had the same problem. Well we looked online and found the answer. Pick up the printer and shake upside down (Carefully) and an EPSON badge fell out. On reboot of the printer the error E-04 solved. Printing happily. Well it worked for us.

Epson stylus dx6000 error message e-02 have tried

Hi

Chances are the mechanism to recognize the ink cartridges is already damage and it may cause a lot having it replaced. I suggest to get a new printer instead specially if you have tried reseating the ink cartridges several times and won't work still.

Thanks for using Fixya

Epson Stylus DX6000 only printing half pages

try to perform a cleaning cycle, if your running on windows just go to the control panel look for printers and faxes, find your printer icon then right click once left click on printing preferences, left click on the maintenance tab then click on head cleaning for about 3 to 4 times in a row. then check for a test print and see if it still persist.

I get horizontal yellow lines all the way down the page with my epson stylus dx6000 all-in-one printer on all pages printed.

Not sure if the situation we're in is the same. I have a similar problem, but instead of yellow lines, it is pink lines. printer is Epson RX510. The lines are more prominent if the print quality mode used is best and if the document to be printed requires the affected color. Upon consultation with the printer technician, I was adviced that it is the print head which has a problem, and changing it is costly and the repair duration even depends on parts availability. With that, I just decided to use the printer just as is. Hope this info helps.
