I cant seem to download flash player the newest version. i have windows 7

try this..uninstall it then go and download it again sometimes this will sort out the problem why it will not update.

1) Check the settings of your anti-virus program. A lot of times an anti-virus program will not let a program download.

2) The main thing with Adobe Flash Player, is that it will NOT install a new version of Flash Player; with an old version present.

And it will NOT automatically delete the old version.

Use the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller tool.
Then go back to Adobe Flash Player Support, and download AND install the newest version of Adobe Flash Player.

Go down to the bottom of the page, where it states in bold print -
Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller
Click on the blue - Tech note - in the paragraph.

Scroll down to -
1. Download the uninstaller for Flash Player
Click on the blue - uninstaller - underneath the above heading. [Uninstaller (674KB) ]

A small window will come up. Click on Save File.
A small download window will come up.
Allow the file to fully download, then DOUBLE-click right on the file name.

At the bottom of the next 3 small windows, click on Next, Next, and Finish.
If you are not asked to restart your computer, do so.

When Windows loads back up again, go back to Adobe Flash Player Support, download and install the newest version of Adobe Flash Player.

Things they don't tell you

When installing the newest version of Adobe Flash Player, it will NOT automatically uninstall the old version.

If the old version is still there, the new version will not install.

Click on Save File.

Another small window will come up on the left. (Download window)
After the file has fully downloaded, DOUBLE-click on it.
Click on Next, Next, and Finish.

Run the tool.
When finished restart your computer if not asked to do so.

I'm different. I use Mozilla Firefox. Don't care for Chrome, and sure don't care for Internet Explorer.

you cant download on the wii because there is no windows or mac so it can download you can not download flash player 7 it COMES with flash player 3/4/5 depending on what version of wii you have

Hello, there are usually two versions of adobe flash player: one for internet explorer browser and the other for all other browsers. You just have to download the version for the browser you use. You can use this link to download from the adobe website:

It will automatically detect your browser and choose the correct version for you.

Perhaps the newest version of Adobe Flash Player isn't installed.

Sometimes you have to use the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller, then download, and install the newest version of Adobe Flash Player.

Adobe Flash Player may not automatically remove the old version. If the old version isn't removed, the new version won't install.

This is Adobe Support, (Adobe Support Center), and the download page for the Uninstaller,

On line 1 click on the blue - uninstall_flash_player.exe (229KB)

In the small box that comes up click on Save File.

Now in the other small window that comes up look at the heading at the top.
This is where the file will be downloaded to.
Write it down.

It may have Desktop, or My Documents, or Downloads in the heading.
(Desktop, Documents, and Downloads for Vista, and Win7)

1) If it has Desktop in the heading the file will be on your desktop screen.

2) If it has My Documents in the heading, click on Start, then click on My Documents.

3) If it has Downloads in the heading, click on Start, click on My Documents, double-click on Downloads.

When you see the file name - uninstall_flash_player.exe - double-click right on it.
Follow the simple instructions of the Installation Wizard.
(Just click on Next, Next, and Finish)

When you are done restart your computer.
Now go back to Adobe, and download the newest version of Adobe Flash Player.

After you have installed the newest version restart your computer if it does not state so.

Try restoring your browser to its default settings if your using Internet explorer try this steps

1. Click Start > Run (for Windows XP), Start Search (Windows Vista), Search programs and files (Windows 7) > Type "inetcpl.cpl"

2. Internet Properties Window should appear on the screen, Click on the Advance Tab, Click on Reset, Click Apply, Click OK


3. Useninstall the current version of Adobe Flash Player, Download the newest version, Restart your Browser and your all set.
