Question about Televison & Video
I was watching TV and I heard a pop and now I no longer have a picture but I have sound. My model is LG 42PX3RVC - I have read a few posts and they say I have a blown ysus board; can I replace myself; if so how? or is it best to get a qualified repairer to do it. If so can anyone recommend one in Sydney?
Ysus and Zsus Boards are normally sold as a kit(about 39 - 50 US$). If you think you are able to remember where all panels and screws are removed and replaced, then it would probably be cheaper to do yourself. On the other hand you may be throwing money after money if it is a power supply fault. I would start by checking the component which exploded and its location. That way you will know where to start. If in doubt rather refer to service technician. Please note: High Voltages are present so do unplug before inspecting or removing the cover. Also do not put the screen on its face, it may damage. Always in upright position. Good Luck, JUS004

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
