Question about JVC PD-42WV74 42 in. Plasma EDTV

Picture I don't have an operation manual. My picture seems to be to be a little too big for the screen. Only get half a name or sport score sometimes. can the picture be reduced to fit.

You will need to hit the aspect button using your remote. The unit sound like it is in Cinema Mode. You will need to change it to Regular. See the link below for the download of the manual. It describes this in more detail.

Screen resolution - Picture too big for screen


the resolution from the source is set too high, also check the settings in your television it may be set too high.

Picture seems to big for TV.cant read bottom words on screen and words are cut off on side also. Cant see scrores on any sports or read peoples names on bottom of the screen


Using the menu or settings button on your remote, access the TV's menu and find the area for picture settings and zoom. You're likely set to a zoom mode, so cycle through the options until you find the zoom setting that sizes to your TV best. (On most widescreens, the best picture is often on the setting 'panarama.'

Picture is too big for the screen i/e scores on sporting events cannot be read


Look for a "Zoom" or "Aspect" button on your remote. Press that untill the picture fits your screen properly.

You need to go into the TV menu and change the settings for the display! Press the Menu button and adjust the Picture! It's probably set to automatic and not reading them correctly.

The picture is too big for the screen. i can't see the score when watching sport


Need a bit more information really. What you have a either a mismatch with the output of the receiver to the HD input - for instance receiver set to 4:3 TV set to 16:9. Or you may have the TV set to Movie Zoom or simllar.

Check the set up of your receiver is set to 16:9 then check that your TV picture format is also set to 16:9

Picture too big


there will be a button on the remote that says aspect, or pic size, hit that button, untill you get the size you want, if you cant find the button, go into the menue, click the picture, or video section, and look for aspect racio, or pic size in there
