Screen Doesnt Turn On, Keyboard Flashes When I Press the Power Button

I was trying to turn my alarm off desperately this morning, and while half asleep, i remember pressing extra buttons because it would not turn off and i distinctly remember something asking about "features" but im not sure if i clicked yes or no. whichever one i pressed, my screen is now black and when i press the power button, the keyboard flashes for a second or two. if i hold the power button it just continues flashing.

i have tried dialing a number and calling but i dont hear anything either.

thanks

Same problem. Screen is blank but I still receive calls. Sometimes it comes back on while I'm charging but soon goes out again. If your warranty is up I'd just buy a new phone, that's what I'm going to do.

Cannot open my phone after too many attempts entering wrong pattern, and it asked me my google account with crrect password but it doesnt work

1. The device must be powered OFF to hard reset.
Note: If the device is not responsive and does not turn off, remove the battery and re-insert it.
2. Press and hold the Home button and the Power button at the same time.
3. Keep holding Home and Power together for at least 25 seconds, even if the "Startup" screen appears.
4. Release the keys when you see a black screen with a warning sign.
5. Slide the keyboard open.
6. As a shortcut, press ALT+W to factory reset the device. If this does not work, continue with the below steps.
7. Press ALT+L.
8. Press Alt+W for 'wipe data/factory reset'.
9. Press the Home + Back key.
Note: You can also remove the battery and re-insert it.
Thanks for using fixya

Hi there, If the phone is off the alarm clock doesnt work, is this normal? If so is there any app I can use to have the alarm with the phone powered off?

You mean you press and hold the power button for a couple of seconds, and, then, select the 'Power off' option? If so, nothing will work on your phone. It's perfectly normal. It's something like removing any electrical stuff from the mains power. In that same menu, choose 'Flight mode' instead. All radio communications will be turned off, but everything else will still be kept alive.
Hope it works for you.
Regards, Carlos

I just powered on my Droid 2, but it isn't loading correctly. It has been on for over half an hour, but the screen is still showing just the droid "red eye" thingy. What do I do?

Sounds like its bricked. You can try to do a factory reset. 1. Turn Droid 2 Off by pulling battery.

2. Press 'X' on the physical keyboard and then Press and HOLD Power button until the Exclamation Point/Android picture shows(after motorola symbol).

3. To access menu options Press the "Search" button depicted by the Magnifying glass on the Keyboard and the menu items will show up.

4. Use the Volume Down key and select the "wipe data/factory reset "option with the Camera button all on side.

5. After thats finished, reboot the phone

Neon will not turn on when I press the power button but flashes the ATT symbol and the screen flickers. It will not turn on regardless of whether or not it is plugged in.

Try taking the battery out and plugging it in. Then put the battery in and press the power button. Don't hold it down. It works like a charm for me
