Stirlitz'
there is a button or switch on the back to allow print or no print, some have a window that says print or it's blank for no print.

I dont know what batteries to use and film to use on my minolta maxxum 70.

The Maxxum 70 uses two 3V CR2 lithium batteries.

The Maxxum 70 can use almost any 35mm film. Color prints, color slides, black-and-white prints. Do NOT use Polaroid instant film or infrared film.

Hi, I have a minolta maxxum xtsi and don't know how to set the aperture/f-stop while shooting in full manual. there is an ISO setting option but that is for the speed of the film righ? or are ISA and...

ISO and aperture are most definitely not the same thing. ISO is the speed of the film. Aperture is the size of the opening in the lens, the larger the opening the more light comes through.

To change the aperture in Manual mode, hold down the exposure compensation button near the lens mount and turn the control dial on the front of the camera.

I keep trying to load film and when i close the camera it sounds as if its loading but the number stays at 0

OK, so we know that the film transport motor is not dead. That's a good thing.
When I have that problem with my HTsi or XTsi, I try several ways of placing the film leader on the take-up roller. Also be sure that the take-up roller is clean or it will not grab the film. I also have a TEST roll. I put it in cameras to be sure its grabbing film.
RARE, but it can happen...film can refuse to come out of the canister. Take it into a room tonight, turn out the light so you do not expose the film, and try pulling the film out. Use the knob to rewind it before you turn on the light.
Meantime, try another film roll
NOT likely, but possible - Film advance motor running but take-up spool not turning. This means a trip to repair shop. Since the QTsi/STsi/HTsi and XTsi are not that expensive on Ebay these days, get one as a parts donor/ spare camera. The other models will give you more choices. HTsi and XTsi have 3 AF sensors.

Minolta maxxum 5 film camera shows blinking battery

It could be a problem of bad conductivity. Try cleaning contacts with spray oxide remover.
Good luck!

When I look through the viewfinder of my camera I see blue streak

This isn't really a solution, but when I check "I have  similar problem", it takes me to a different page all together. The first time I heard about a blue glow in the viewfinders of late-model Maxxums was in reading an eBay guide written by J.D. Katz. I didn't really believe him until my own Maxxums started doing it. Apparently Maxxums 3, 4, 5, GT, QTsi, STsi, HTsi, XTsi and probably the 50 and 70 are susceptible. All were assembled in either Malaysia or China and all have penta-mirror viewfinders. Both my Maxxum 5 and my XTsi just recently started doing it: the 5 has sapphire-blue streaks on either side of the viewfinder; the XTsi's viewfinder has just a faint blue haze. Probably some coating on the glass inside the viewfinder is breaking down with age. It's a shame because they are otherwise excellent cameras. While it is an annoyance, it is confined to the viewfinder and should not affect the images taken. Probably won't have much luck getting Sony to do anything about it either, since they're film cameras and they're getting old....
