Well it is the memory constant 12v wire problem, when u changed it u probly blew up a fuse or some thing wich isnt realy good... u need to go see some people at a factory to set a new wire or just repair it... will take 15 minutes if the guy is good ;)

Can not save radio stations

what you need to do is check to see if your radio is connected right ......

in the installation of any radio in a car or truck there is a yellow wire that is constant power that save memory and the clock without this wire getting 12volts all the time you will not be able to save station to the radio if you set them everytime you turn off your car or truck they will go back to factory preset .... now once you find out if the constant power wire has power and you can say that is not the issue i would call panasonic and find out a service center near you and have your radio fixed ...

The dual xdmr7710 wont fit in my 2001 alero coupe, is there anything i can do? crutchfield says it wont fit but i wonder if there is something i can get to make it fit?

Hello raptor_bot,

The problem is that the dash opening in your Alero is only 6 3/8" in depth and the XDMR7710 is 7X7X2, which means that unless you cut into the vehicle firewall to make some room, 5/8" of the receiver will need to stick out the front of the dash.

Why not select a receiver that fits?

Hope this helps.

The wires may have come loose from your harness or from your tapped locations. Re-check everything you did. Use this guide to see where you may have gone wrong.
