Do you have any error messages? Try a new USB cable and attaching to a different port on the computer. If using a hub, try directly connecting to the computer. Do you see files stacked up in the printer queue? (These may need to be removed.) To reset the printer, unplug the USB and power cables for a minute. then reconnect them. (The USB cable should be unplugged from both the printer and the computer). Make sure your USB ports are not disabled for power-savings or security (in the Device Manager and Power Savings Control panels for Windows).

I hope this helps.

How can I print in grayscale on my Canon PIXMA MG8120?

That printer has multiple ways to print grayscale. The best is directly from the print menu, when you tell it to print, one of the things in the pop up box on most apps, like Word or Excel is "Options", or Print Options. From there you can set all kinds of things, and there should be a box you can check for Print Grayscale for whatever you are trying to print at the moment. You can also set grayscale as a default setting for all printing on your windows device, but then you have to tell it when you want color every time. Alternatively, on your Printers Menu System, on the third page of your little printer screen, there is a Settings option. This will lead you to all printer settings including grayscale printing setup.

Can I get a 300 dpi still shot using the Canon S5 IS?

DPI is short for Dots Per Inch and it actually refers to printer dots per inch. These days, when used in photo software, it means PPI, which are pixels per inch. DPI and PPI are two different things, yet often DPI is used when PPI is meant, so read its usage in context.

Dpi (actually ppi) is only important in case of printing. When you open a picture in Photoshop a dpi-number is mentioned. Don't pay attention to it. It doesn't tell you anything, you can change it in any number you want, it doesn't change anything of the picture. But beware: you have to uncheck the resample-box! Resampling means calculating a new amount of pixels. The moment resampling is off, you can change the dpi-number, the according printing-measure is given. It also works the other way around: change the printing-measure, the dpi-number of the picture will be shown.

Ink is low epson me10

if your ink is low, you need to buy more ink. OR you can buy ink refill kits ( super cheap ) just be careful filling the ink cartridges so you don't over fill.

If you have only printed a few things ( photo's aside) and are low on ink, then try NOT printing the best quality. adjust the ink quality settings in the properties when your about to print.

Note: if your just printing text and it's not for anything super important ALWAYS go with draft. it prints faster and uses a lot less ink.
