Irons do not last they way they use to. You can get it repaired (check with Rowenta) or buy a new iron.

Why does water come out instead of steam?

heating element not working properly
as the repair and parts cost more than the iron, it is best to junk it and get a new one

Iron heating sporadically and sensor lights working sporadically

sounds like a loose connection in the power transfer, some piece of metal may be broken or the cord itself may be damaged in some place, you could try replacing the cord. I would just go and buy a new iron. They aren't all that expensive anymore. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I hope you solve your problem. If you want any further help or have any other questions, please let me know, otherwise have a Good Day.

Why steam iron won't heat up

if there is no light or heat even when the thermostat is switched to the hottest setting then assumption is that the iron is defective.

with the iron not plugged in check the cable and see if it is worn or kinked or cut. look for any burn markings on the plug. if the iron is some years old it may also be that the element has burnt out. this happens more often in areas where water scale is high.

I hope this was useful.

When I plug in my iron the light comes on but when I go to push the button to turn it on it does nothing, not even heat up. The iron is only 3 months old

Good Day!

Please open the cover of your iron and look for the thermal fuse inside. That is the only problem of your iron replaced it on the same ampere and temperature.

My rowenta iron which is about 4-5 years old starts blinking the red on-off button after only 2-3 minutes of use. Also the orange button will not stay lit. What is the problem? The red on-off button does...

your iron has a thermostat fault its this thermostat thats cutting in and out that puts the red light on it could be fixed but that wont be a cheap fix best bet is to buy a new iron as that would work out cheaper

I have a Russell Hobbs Steam Generator iron - less than two years old. It has started to leak water - not really sure where it's coming from - it just pours out and eventually fuses the plug.

Power Light goes on but iron will not heat

If it is more than 3 years old (no warranty) then you can get it repaired or replaced. The heating coil is broken. The heating coil in the iron cannot be fixed, but must be replaced.

If the iron is less than 3 years old, you can get it repaired under warranty; however, shipping and other costs may not be worth having it repaired. (More than $30).
If you can get an estimate, you might want to have it repaired.

My recommendation? Replace it.

No steam

It appears that your rocker switch is broken, I am attempting to find a source for the switch and the screw driver that removes the screws holding the unit together
