Generic problem for all Receivers
Connecting TV and DVD for surround sound (by 2 users)

I have a yamaha 300 watt receiver. I have a large screen t.v. I have 6.1 speakers. I have a HDMI cable. I have a dvd player. How do I connect all the items together. I want surround sound from my TV and the DVD player.
