New update for Logitech software available, 48mb.

The download includes the Logitech webcam drivers, bug fixes, support for Windows 7, newer Logitech webcam releases and a new software interface. This is the full release including the webcam driver, but does not contain any third party applications. If you are not having any problems you don't really need to upgrade it.

QuickCam v11.8

I have the same model, don't think it is compatible with Windows 7 (nor with Vista 64-bit for that matter). :(

Maybe Logitech will still update the drivers, but I am not counting on it.

I installed the the WINDOWS 7 and for some reason my cam will not install

Checkout your webcam co. See if there is a update for Win7 or even try Win7, see if either have updated.

Remember what they say onTV, does not always run true on the poota !

Remem the problems with the other new sys updates. Vista being the biggest pain in the byte.

I have a logitech quickcam IM (webcam). It was installed awhile ago. It was working fine. Then, there was an update which automatically updated my logitech. I then started having problems with my viewing....

I would try downloading the most recent driver from Logitech. Click HERE. It will ask you what operating system you are using and then give you a choice of 2 files. Download the QuickCam v11.5 file and install. Let me know if this helps.

Problem while installing Logitech webcam software in Vista Home Premium

If you are using windows xp then you should download this fix from the microsoft website. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C717D943-7E4B-4622-86EB-95A22B832CAA&displaylang=en

If you are running windows vista please follow these instructions carefully.

  1. Click on "Start".
  2. Click on "All Programs".
  3. Click on "Accessories".
  4. Right click on the Command Prompt, select "run as administrator".
  5. At the prompt, type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll".
  6. You will now get a message box saying "vbscript.dll" has been registered.
  7. Reinstall QuickCam
I hope this helps. If not let us know.
