Poor quality photo prints from f340

The photos I am printing all have very subtle lines going across the paper. It is as if when the cartridge is going back and forth during printing it is leaving  a slight scrape across the paper. I changed the cartridges, cleaned everything, tried different paper. Help!

I performed a test - and the problem does not appear noticeable. I have the factory drive software. Can anyone help?

Better to adjust the picture resolution, the paper quality, and the level of printing..

You will see it all in the printer properties..

Thanks

as I mentioned, before you asked for more help, this is most likely on your photo software side, not the printer...of course, maybe someone else will assist you

well..well..well..sounds familiar doesn't it? if the test page is clean, and the photos are not, that's almost for certain from the photo imaging software suite..

Whats the question?? if poor quality printing, it could be dirty ink cartridges, dirt on the print head, poor quality paper ??? try looking at the printer settings, sometimes they may be set to economy rather than top quality printing.

MY LEXMARK 4505 LEAVES 3-4 BLACK BLOTCHES ON THE EDGE OF EACH PAPER IT PRINTS, TRIED CLEANING THE ROLLERS TO NO AVAIL, ANY SUGESTIONS

ADJUST THE COLOR AND PRINT SPEED You may need to adjust the color and print speed. CHECK THE LEVEL OF INK IN THE PRINT CARTRIDGES 1 From the Finder desktop, double-click the Lexmark X5400 Series folder. 2 Double-click the Lexmark X5400 Series Utility icon. 3 From the Maintenance tab, check the ink levels of the cartridges. If an exclamation point (!) appears on a cartridge, the ink level is low. Install a new cartridge. Improving print quality These are possible solutions. Try one or more of the following: CHECK PAPER • Use the appropriate paper for the document. If you are printing photos or other high-quality images, for best results use Lexmark Photo Paper or Lexmark PerfectFinish Photo Paper. Do not use Lexmark Premium Photo Paper. Your print cartridges are not compatible with this type of paper. • Use a paper that is a heavier weight or bright white. CHECK PRINT CARTRIDGES If the document still does not have the print quality you want, follow these steps: 1 Align the print cartridges. For more information, see "Aligning print cartridges" on page. If print quality has not improved, continue to step 2. 2 Clean the print cartridge nozzles. For more information, see "Cleaning the print cartridge nozzles" . If print quality has not improved, continue to step 3. 3 Remove and reinsert the print cartridges. For more information, see "Removing a used print cartridge" on and "Installing print cartridges" . If print quality has not improved, continue to step 4. 4 Wipe the print nozzles and contacts. For more information, see "Wiping the print cartridge nozzles and contacts". If print quality is still not satisfactory, replace the print cartridges. For more information, see "Ordering print cartridges". Poor printing quality

Dear friend,

Just few tipe.

1. Try to use glossy photo quality paper for photo print out. which is look good and not so expence of ink.
2 Use good quality glossy type normal paper for text print out. that can not **** much ink from the cartriges.
3. try to cover your printer always.
4. clean the head via tst print oftenly.

Thnks & waiting for your feedback.

Poor photo printing quality with new color cartridge

Shaking these cartridges does nothing except give you a little exercise. If this is a brand new HP cartridge you are having problems with I would return it to the store you purchased it from. HP brand cartridges should not give you these problems right out of the box. The print defects you are seeing are due to a dried up or clogged print head. If you like you can try hydrating the print head on a water soaked paper towel until the ink starts flowing, but there's a risk you will cross contaminate the colors.

the messages you get for cartridges other than the original are not trustful. You will get the right reading for original(from Brother) cartridges. Some ink is poor for printing photo quality.

not any refillable ink is right for printing photos, sometimes too dark, sometimes you don't get the right mix of colors.

Lexmark x5150 color printing issues

Sometimes ,poor print quality may be due to ink build up in the maintenance station ..

Your ink cartridges stay in the maintenance station when not in use. Depending on the printer model, the maintenance station may be located on the right or left side of the printer. NOTE: You do not need to remove the cover in order to access the maintenance station.

To access the wiper for cleaning purposes:
Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Move the ink cartridge carrier to the left by gripping the top of the rubber carrier belt and gently pulling it across towards the right-hand side of the printer.
Take a warm, damp paper towel or napkin and gently clean the wiper on the right-hand side of the maintenance station.
