When I attempt to turn on the set, the green power light flashes,then an alarm or ringing noise is heard every 2 or 3 seconds. any clues? BTW the fan appears to be running?

I have just encountered exactly the same thing. The temp light came on the tv turned off and now power light comes on with ringing, No picture. Marie
