Question about HP LaserJet 4L Printer
My wife tried printing labels using the paper tray. Needless to say some stuck inside the printer. I do have some knowledge in printer repair and was able to get the labels out. I have taken the printer apart twice and still end up with a black page when printing a test page using the blue swith on top of the printer. The printer also produces a goaing sound when feeding paper. Any help, please??
Try reseating the print cartridge if this does not work try a new print cartridge the problem seams like your primary charge failure.

inspect the paper trays to make sure they are
not overloaded. To determine if this is the problem, do a test print with only
one piece of paper loaded in the paper tray. (If this turns out to be the
problem, keep the paper tray half-full in the future.)
Check that the type of paper being used falls
within the printer manufacturer's recommendations. For example, paper designed
for ink-jet printers doesn't necessarily work well in laser printers.
High-quality, bonded paper will cause paper jams in some printers
If someone has recently printed labels on this
printer, check to see if a label has come unglued from a sheet and become stuck
inside the printer.
Check the gears and rollers for stuck shreds of torn paper from previous jams. Turn off the printer before you attempt to remove the bits of paper
you can also you a light blower or vaccum to clean the printer be sure to remove the ink catridge from the printer before using them
after doing so click the printer icon in the task bar and click open it and delete all the files in them
then click start settings click printer and faxes then make your printer default then switch of the printer and the computer remove the power plug and the usb cable wait for few minutes and replug them then restart your computer and the printer then click start setting printer and right click the printer and click properties in the printer properties click the print a test page and your printer will be ready to print
