Question about Turbo Air TPR-67SD
It freezes inside of the doors in the back causing water to buidup inside underneath, temperature is as high/low as possible without turning off. i have two of these units and only the one does it, i dont know if the thermostat is bad or what. Sometime i turn it off to defrost it completley, but it slowly starts to buildup (ice) again. Maybe i just need to clean soething out (happend to walk in freezer, pluged drain). Unit is only about 1 year old. Please post or email at firstname.lastname@example.org
First be sure the unit is clean, the condenser coil behind the bottom right grill, I usually find these completely clogged with lint and grease this adversely effects the refrigerant regulation to the evaporator coil by not being able to remove heat at the condenser.
Second be sure that the evaporator inside the cooler has an unobstructed air flow, because whether there is air flow or not the coil will continue to absorb energy so if there is no air to cool it will begin freezing water on the coil.
Third if there is proper airflow then it pobably has an incorrect refrigerant charge, it must be evacuated and the correct refrigerant type and amount weighed in.
