TRYING TO UPGRADE A MITSUBISHI WS-65807 BY TRYING TO LOCATE A SR-HD400 RECEIVER ? FOR HDTV

I WONDER IF IT IS WORTH AN UPGRADE TO AN OPTIONAL HDTV RECEIVER ON THE ABOVE TV. CABLE HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED IN MY AREA, SO SAT TV IS BEING EXPLORED AS THE ONLY CHOICE.

Send for your $40. coupon, then the digital converter cost $5. or $10.  it can also be used on any tv, no matter the age (ntsc systems only)

I believe the government is offering help on buying conversion kits for older tvs. They were either $50 or $100. Ask a few friends if they have heard of it.
You might search google for "HD upgrades" and see what you find.

I doubt it as it was never designed for that kind of input, Component works best on this set and it should have only one HD input for a box marked in the menu as DTV.

Jim,
yes the convergence Ics are what cause the two picos to be open they are both 5 amp picos. You can get the picos, the convergence ICs and the factory service manual for your model at the following link.your model is known as the V17 chassis for service manuals and you should require two STK392-570 Convergence ICs. Heres the link they provide free instalation instructions.
