Having trouble with memory card for Samsung Note 2

the first thing i would try? move the apps back into phone memory out of the sd card.maybe put the wifi back on phone memory, shut the phone off, remove the battery, put it back in & restart phone.it may take a minute or two for the sd card to mount.
then to "my files" (under apps on home screen ).choose external memory.pick wifi, tap the top right button. you will see options.pick "move".pick "device storage".that should put it back on the device.turn wifi on & see if it works. (P.S-always before removing sd card, pick "storage" on your menu. you will see the option to
"unmount".be sure to do this every time before removing sd card.

Sgh s3310 memory card not recorized ple solution

Hi hitendra_sin,

Try these steps:

Remove memory card and plug it to computer via card reader and check if it is able to reade the details

If it is successfully read by the computer, then take a back up of entire memory card.

Then format the entire memory card.

Check if it is recognized. If recognized, remove and plug it back to computer and copy only the required file to memory card like music, pictures and videos.

If not recognized, you will loose the data, try reformatting the memory card and use as new.

This should work.

Thank you

Phone and computer will not recognize memory card

Can you open the contents of the memory card? Please try it on another Mobile or you can use a Card Reader to try it on your computer. If it's recognized, format it from another phone or computer, reinsert it in your phone and check. Good luck. Thanks for using FixYa.

My Samsung behold doesn't recognize memory card!

find an card reader for it (it's probably microsd, get and sd card adapter) and format it using a computer. when your computer recognizes the card, go to my computer, right click on the card (should be listed under removable storage), and select format (try FAT16 first, then FAT32). after it is done formatting, put it back in your phone, and see if that works.

if not, then you might have a bad card. try a different card. if the second card doesn't work, could be the phone.

good luck

When i connect the cable to my phone and then to my laptop to download my pictures, nothing opens (menu) that I can follow to download the pics. do you know what the problem could be? thanks.

you can only connected a phone to a computer without a third party program if the phone has a storage device that the system recognizes.....i.e a sd card.......if you don't have one of these then it will be necessary with the shine to work....you can pick one up from walmart or the dollar store or just about anywhere nowadays. insert the card into your device and format it......now when u connect your phone to your laptop your computer will recognize the expandable memory card as a "removable media device". This allows the computer to now alter files on this disk, which means anything you want off of your phone, you will have to select and move to the memory card before hand. To do this just select the item you want to move and select move or copy and select the sd card as the destination. There ya go, and GOOD LUCK PLs Rate This Post!!!

MY FONE CANNOT RECOGNIZE THE MEMORY CARD

I doubt you have a virus on your memory card. Viruses for phones are rare, simply because they are hard to create. Even so, a virus will seek to attack the phones internal memory, to destroy the phone.

So try to format u r memory card and try again to confirm wether the issue is with the memory card or the phone.
Take the following in mind:

1. Format the card ONLY in the phone
2. Do not switch the card around with different phone models, to transfer data for example.
3. Do not use a card reader to read the data that is on the memory card. Use your original USB/Infrared/Bluetooth/WLAN connectivity kit to connect with the computer and browse your files.

All the best,
Prince

EnV2 does not recognize MP3 files on micro SD card

This was tricky, but I was able to get MP3 files recognized on my daugter's phone.

First, the MicroSD card needs to be formatted by the phone. The phone requres a special directory structure to be created. You may be able to do this manually, but I did it by letting the phone initialize the card. To do this, insert the MicroSD card. Make sure you push it all the way in.

Go to Menu 9 Settings and Tools. Then menu 9 Memory. Then menu 3 Card Memory. The phone should recognize the card and initialize it by creating the special directories for My Music, My Videos, My Sounds, etc.

Then put the card into your PC and copy your MP3 files to the My Music directory on the card. I could not get the phone to recognize sub folders, so make sure you copy everything directly to the My Music directory and not the one under it.

Now the card is ready, you have to tell the phone to use your card memory and not its internal memory for these items. Go to Menu 9 Settings and Tools. Then menu 9 Memory. Then menu 1 Save Options. Pick Pictures, Video, and Sounds and set the phone to use Card memory for each.

Now you can import the music into the music player on the phone. Go to menu 5 Media Center. Menu 1 Music & tones. Menu 4 My Music. The music player should then Import yhour music into the player and it should now be playable.

(I think these accurately reflect what I did)

You can also go to 9 Settings, 9 Memory, 3 Card Memory, 4 My Music to view your music.

Your music may be located in a folder your phone doesnt recognize...that happend to me at first.

First you want to format your memory card through your phone. This will place the required folders on the card.

I used Windows media player to sync the music on my computer to the memory card using a media port on my computer. (just inserting the card directly to my computer). Once music was downloaded I looked at the card through "my computer", and noticed folders...one named "Music" and the other named "My Music". I moved the files from "Music" to My Music". Reinserted the card into my phone and the phone picked them up.
