Question about RIM BlackBerry 7290

1 Answer

Address Book I inherited the 7290 from my sales man dad, after my Pearl trackball broke. He has over 6k addresses in there. Is there anyway to delete more than one at a time? Can't find anyway to do. Help would be very appreciated!!

Try searching the contact list with letter 'a' then click on the first contact then select 'delete lookup' then repeat this all through the alphabet and it should clear the contacts list.

I can give you the full reset procedure for the device but this will erase all data on the device but at least that way you are able to really make the device yours and start over on it .This method is sure to work and is the only other way that I can find of deleting mass data

1.In the handheld options, click Security.
    2.Click the trackwheel.
    3.Click Wipe Handheld.
    4.Click Continue.
    5.Type blackberry.

Address book

Select the Address Book application from the main screen (with all the icons.) The address book icon is black and white in the default theme.
Press the "Menu" button (just left of the trackball)
Scroll up or down to "New Address" and push the trackball in (select the menu item.)
Fill in all the details that you have for the contact.
Press the "Menu" button again (left of the trackball)
Scroll up or down to "Save" and select it by pushing the trackball in.

Device error 400

You can download desktop manager for free from Blackberry.com web site.

If you are able to get this to work, good luck, because I am unable to get the desktop manager to find the blackberry, nor is the USB port reading what the device is.

But you can give the desktop manager a try,and also download the software for your blackberry. I'd suggest you download the 4.3 version of the software and be sure it is in the language that you speak (they have several, look for ENG for english)
