I didn't want to pay $19.99 for just a cover for my slow cooker. There was no category for this item.

The clock on the stove was flashing and now I can't get time set and the oven buttons don't work to put on broiler or oven. I don't know how this happened or how to correct it

hello,
You can set the timer on a range slow cooker to automatically switch to a warming setting when you estimate foods will finish cooking. The programmable features allow you to leave food stewing at home while you are out of the house, freeing up your day. Set the timer on a range slow cooker to let the kitchen appliance do all the work, and come home to a fully cooked meal.
Fill the insert of the range slow cooker with food and cover it with the lid. At least a quarter of the insert should be filled with liquid to keep the environment moist during long cooking times.
Press the "On/Off" button on the left side of the electronic control panel in the front of the appliance. This will turn on the slow cooker to the low heat "Warm" setting.
Press the "Cook Time" button on the right side of the electronic control panel to add hours to the timer which will show a total time in hours with a red digital display. Continue to press the button until the display indicates the desired cook time in one-hour increments up to 10 hours. The cooker will automatically adjust the temperature setting based on the amount of time you programmed on the timer. Cooking times of six hours or less automatically start on "High" heat and times of seven hours or more will start on "Low" heat. A small indicator light will come on below the word to tell you the cooking temperature.

Russell hobbs slow cooker no recipies for casserols in enclosed book please advise

Here's a great set of threads on receipies for slow cooker's.
http://bellybelly.com.au/forums/recipes-cooking-food/17924-slow-cooker-recipes.html. You will need to adjust to suit your slow cooker. Cook times vary by wattage just like cook times vary for Microwave Ovens. Also, your altitude can affect cooking times.
Since you didn't mention your cooker's model, start out at Amazon to find a copy, but look for a used one as it may be much cheaper.

Hope this helped your dilemma and fixed your appetite.

Lofra MXD96AMFE/C Dual Fuel Range Cooker

Hi

The timer on our Lofra MXUD76MFE broke about 2 months after the 12 month warranty ran out.
Being a bit of a fiddler i took the top off the cooker to access the timer (not that difficult) when i ispected the timer i was astonished that it had lasted the 14 months it had such was the quality of it.

The timer was easy to set to ensure the cooker worked but unserviceable to restore the timer mechanism.

I thought given that it was such a cheap looking part (even allowing for the exorbitant price of parts) it would be worth replacing.

Came across the new appointed distributor - Premier Appliance Brands - based in Warrington (01925 248980)

They gave me a part No of 03010631 but didn't have stock and initially could not give me a price. i left it a couple of weeks and rang back this week.
They quoted £77 - needless to say i didn't order it
