Generic problem for all Projection Televisions

i have reset the lamp clock after i changed the lamp but the picture is still dim the lamp indicator on the front is solid red but i can watch and use the tv i want to know how to bring the brightness back to normal is there a factory reset button anywhere ? what can i do without paying a service man a lot of cash?

Panasonic PT51HX408. Picture is dim / dark and adjustment is maxed out. Is therte a bulb that could be out? Any help would be appriciated
