Where do you plug in the headphones?

You can plug in headphones but you need an adapter. Also, not all headphones will work well with this TV. You should get headphones with in-line volume control. Then connect the headphone 3.5 mm M to a 3.5 mm F to dual RCA (1/4") M/M adapter. An example is http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05711931000P?sid=IDx01192011x000001&srccode=cii_17588969&cpncode=22-191604286-2 .

Then use the TV audio menu to turn off the TV speakers and enable the external speakers. Note the TV volume control will not effect the headphone volume.

I hope this helps.

My tv has no volume,i checked every cable connection and it all fine.I know my speakers are fine in the tv everything was fine until a button was pressed on one of the remotes the tv or the direct tv...

Remove all batteries from your remotes. Unplug the unit for several minutes. Plug unit in and use the controls on the set to turn it on and adjust the volume. This will eliminate the remotes. They could have a button stuck. If this does not work you may have a legitimate problem and need a tech.

I have a volume problem. When I adjust the volume at a listening level, a high pitch sound can be heard then the volume turns low and goes back to the set level. It happens in every channel (Direct TV)....

No ,replacing speakers will not fix the problem these sets are very well know for Poor Solder and connection ,resolder signal,Audio,& power supply boards this should correct the problem and alot of future ones too.

No sound on TV

Don't know the exact model you have, but generally when the capacitors are replaced, many CABLES ARE UNPLUGGED and RE-PLUGGED in the process, including the speakers. Have someone check the speaker connections. Also be sure the tv is not in "mute" mode or the volume is not set to zero.

No volume

Have you checked to make sure that your speakers are turned on? Most rear projection televisions have both a physical switch and an interal menu option to turn on and off the built in speakers. The physical switch usually is located in the back near the inputs and outputs. It could have accidentally switched off. Under the menu options it may have been accidentally turned off as well.

No volume

On the back of your set there are 2 switches that tell the tv whether you are using the internal speakers or the external speakers.
Make sure the switches are set to internal so the speakers in the TV receive the sound signals. If they're set to internal maybe the internal speakers are bad. Set the switches to external and hook up external speakers to the speaker terminals on the back of the TV. If neither setup works then it sounds like an output transistor or related parts.

Audio problems

Good Day, corilyn;
Several things that you may try:
1. Unplug TV and Cable/Sat box for 3-4 minutes, plug all back in, that's resetting the devices.
2. Some boxes have volume controls, make sure 'box' volume are turned to max.
3. Go into TV's customer menu, go to audio section, make sure speakers are turned on/ set to internal speakers.

Good Luck, Big Irish.

No volume on tv

Check to see if all video/audio connections are right. If you know it's all hooked up correctly then look in audio and see if anything is turned off. Maybe internal speakers. Do you have cable or satellite, or you going thru RF connector or AV inputs?

see if u can plug a headset jack in the front somewhere. some remotes have a funtion that turn the speakers off on the projector so u can hook up external speakers in the back of set. check that. also try switching to mono mode only. if all fails you need a shop. good luck
