About three weeks ago, my 27' Philips TV started showing horizontal white lines on top of the screen. They extend about two inches down from the top of the screen. Some images in that area are turned upside down. The problem is more noticeable at times, but it is always present.

Pls note that my experience is with the phillips 27" model27PT6341/07. It may not be the same board as yr model, as I can't remember nor find the service manual anymore. (browse around online for it though)
However, after taking the back off. Look close to the rca jack and svideo connection. Mine is located about an inch from the svideo connection.

If you mean thin white lines, this is is an indication of a problem in the Horizontal Drive ckt. most likely the Damper Diode has opened or shorted, this would cause the visual symptom and then the set would shut down, unfortunately this is a problem best left to a qualified technician to repair, hope this helps.
