My ps3 doesnt let me play online call of duty

Do you have a PSN account? If no, create one, sign in, then try again.
If you already have a PSN account and you're signed in, can you access the PSN store? If not, verify that your PS3 is connected to the internet.

If everything above failed, it would be easier for us if you gave us the error message you're getting when trying to play online.

Network error

More info needed, but I'll try.

First off, you need a valid Playstation Network account, which you can create either from the PS3 console itself or the playstation network website.

Secondly, you need to make sure that your PS3 has internet access. Make sure that either a wireless router is on somewhere near the system or that an ethernet cable is plugged into the back, and make sure the router/cable is connected to internet.

Third, you must go to network settings in the settings menu. Click on add/test connection. and choose whether you are wired or wireless. You should be able to click automatic on each page and it should set up fairly painlessly. Once the connection has been tested, you should be able to log into your playstation network account from the respective menu (two right of the game menu). After signing in, you should have access to the internet from your console!

80028E02 (this error keeps coming on my ps3 and it doesnt make me sign in online! please help

ps3 error 80028e02 can be caused by different source of networkshowcase270.jpgblockages. If you happened to be in a filtered network, that's your most probable reason why your ps3 is unable to connect online. For example, if you're in a school campus, there's a high chance that the IT network administrator has placed some restrictions to prevent hackers and other malicious online activities. You can refer to the campus IT department to find out if you need to access their local page for some clearance in order for your ps3 to connect online.

If you have your own internet connection, the next probable cause is a router. Placing restrictions on some IP address or net services may have accidentally include your ps3 in it. You can change some settings within the router to grant your ps3 full access online, while at the same time maintaining other restrictions that are already in place.

Another possible remedy is have your pc internet connection shared, and use your ps3 to use that shared connection to go online. These solutions are sure fire methods of keeping ps3 80028e02 away from your console.

Signing into the network.

Hello,
for playing online with the PS3 you have at first to create a PSN (Playstation Network) Account. You can do this easylie right on the PS3 at the "Account-Management".

After creating an Account you have to log on with this account to the Playstation Network (This function also can be found in the XMB "Account" Menu.

When you log on for the first time you can easy mark the "Automatic Log-In to PSN" checkbox so that the PS3 already log on to the Network. I prefer this because it is much easier than always log in manual - This Setting is optional (Just as you want it to be set).

After doing the Steps above you should be able to play online without any problem.

I hope this Steps are the solution to your problem and I wish you a lot of fun at the PSN.

With kind regards,
SvenBosch

You can only sign into your Playstation account if you are using your own user profile on the far left of the XMB.

Do a Network test to see if you can even connect to PSN. Go to Settings, Network Settings, and do and Internet Connection Test.

if your test doesn't show your NAT type as either 1 or 2 then your router is being to restrictive. Try changing some of the settings to allow the PS3 full access to the internet.
