Question about Tascam Audio & Video Receivers
My tascam Da 40 Dat machine is giving the errormsg mecha. com. er. what can i do to reset or fix.
SOURCE: hello i have a tascam
Since there is movement in the meters, the heads are good. Look first for any cables or connectors that are loose. There is an "output" section in these that can fail. I don't recall whether this section is an IC or discrete components though. Check the cables and connectors and update this with what you find. I'll look up this model and find the output parts.

SOURCE: Tascam 238 tape deck
Common problem with these decks-the capstan motor needs to be replaced- A DIY job if you are careful and have some mechanical common sense- Tascam still sells these motors, around $100

On the top of the cassette mechanism there are two micro switches on one small plate with 3 wires. These switches "tells" the electronics where the door is open or close & activate the rest of loading mechanism (second motor). If only one of the switches is not working, you will get this error (that's was my problem). The switch who is responsible for closing was broken. I replace the switch and everything is working fine and smoothly now.

SOURCE: Tascam DP-02 error 50:0
this happened to my dr-1
what i did is took out the SD card, used a card reader to put all the songs from the music folder onto my laptop, then erased the songs from the card, reinserted it into the Dr-1 and no more error.
hope it helps. tascam doesn't come with a card reader, they use a usb but i've found that a card reader is faster and easier to manage. you can get one anywhere they sell electronics for about $15. cheers

SOURCE: I have a Denon AVR
In order to listen from Combo unit ,You need to take the 2x RCA ports red / white audio out ( L + R ) or Fiber (if there is ) audio output from Tascam CD/Cassette recorder combo to Denon AVR 1312 " CD input "either "2x RCA ports red / white audio IN ( L + R ) or Fiber IN plugs .
Additionally,if you want to Record something onto COMBO that Receivers play ,we will do these backward..Thus you need to carry 2x RCA ports red / white audio out ( L + R ) or Fiber (if there is ) audio output from DENON to COMBO's Audio IN ports..You need 2 sets of RCA Stereo cable to accomplish this. Pls remember..one's "IN" goes to other's "OUT "all the times..
If you need more info please let me know..
Hope this helps!..if more help requires Would you please let me know the result ?
