Question about Lexmark X1150 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printers The problem is with Lexmark X1150; the printer does not print color text/graphics in my documents. New color cartridges (27) have been installed and all packaging has been removed from each cartridge.

    If there is any color in my document, that portion of the document will not print at all on my Lexmark X1150.

Go look at the printing settings, perhaps they are on black&white mode ...

    what about if u try to print just a image, does it print properly ? If not than the cartridge is dry (even if it-s new)(not empty just dry!).

    take the cartridge out, and press the nozzles on an a piece of paper, it should let a color strip with the 3 colors it uses. if it doesn;t do that, or if there is too little color (the color should be very powerful in intensity) than u have to unblock the nozzles ... (putting the cartridge in a worm water for a minute or 2 should do the job, absorb the water from the cartridge case, put it in the printer, and do a color print to see if it works).

    if when u print just an image it works, than u're problem are the printing settings! (when u print u're mixed docs, go in advanced mode (at the printers settings/parameters ) try to read all the settings , and see if there is any that may make u problems).

    i can't think of any other problem other than bad drivers ....or drivers that got installed badly, try reinstalling the printer .... (if u can test the printer on an other computer...)

Make sure you are inserting the correct color cartridge versions for the Lexmark X1150 (either #26 or #27).
Try to clean the cartridge nozzles. On your computer, open the Lexmark Solution Center, click Start > Programs > Lexmark X1100 Series > Lexmark X1100 Series Solution Center. From the Maintenance tab, click Clean to fix horizontal streaks. Your printer will then print a page that will help clean the nozzles from possible dirt and clogs.
If that doesn't help, try to insert a different known working cartridge (e.g. your old cartridge or another new cartridge). It could be a faulty cartridge issue.

When I try to print from my Lexmark X1150 it says that the wrong ink cartridges are installed but I am using Lexmark 27 and Lexmark 17 - I thought these were the correct ones - can you advise...


The 17 and 27 cartridges are compatible with your Lexmark X1150 printer. Try to manually wipe the cartridge nozzles with a soft moistened cloth. This will help clean the nozzles from dirts and clogs. Unplug and replug the printer into the power outlet in the wall to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first. Close the cover. If no error, open the cover and reinsert the other cartridge. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear. You can also try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

When I get ready to print it is saying that the cartridges are missing and I have replaced both cartridges and also I put the old ones back in and it is still saying the same thing.


What cartridge versions(model #) are you using? Make sure you are using genuine Lexmark cartridges. Cartridges for the X1150 are black: #16 or #17 and color: #26 or #27. Try to remove the cartridges from your printer. Close the cover. Unplug and replug your printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and make sure they are properly inserted and secured in the cartridge carrier. Close the cover and try to print again. If error continues, please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

Got a lexmark x1150 both black color ink been replaced not reading black ink and text is blurry

been seated properly in the

My lexmark 1150 won't print and I've lost cd and don't have the manual book. Would it have any thing to do with because I put in ink cartridges 17 and 27 and it requires 16 and 26 ink cartridges.


It works with both 16 and 17 for Black and 26 and 27 for Color.
Go to the Panel from Lexmark X1100 series- Series Solution Center and select the new type of cartridges. Allign the cartridges, make an excel test with 4 colors(cyan, magenta, yellow, black) and it should work

I have a Lexmark X1150 printer that is printing purple only.


Try the "better" or "best" print options - They give more ink - might do the trick - (beware it also prints a lot more slowly....)

I have not had that type of problem as such as both my ink slots work, but I did have purple/bluish print instead of black once - It worked for me -

Lexmark C1150 printer doesn't print


First I try to uninstall the printer, it didn't work, so I reinstall the the printer anyway, it worked for one print only.
As second attempt I disconnected the printer completely, turned the PC off, and after few minutes on again. Uninstalled printer.
Reconnected the cables again, install the printer - it works well!

Lexmark X1150 printing problem


Try a "hard restart ", which simply means unplugging the power cord of the printer, and replugging it after one minute has passed. If that does not work, then rerun the CD used to install the printer. Both techniques reprogram the electronics, to a certain extent.
You might want to visit the Lexmark website to see what solutions are being offered for printer problems. They probably have a number to call, in case you want to talk to a technician.
