The blinking led on the keyboard suggests some probems with the power supply ...

Do u hear any beeps from the comp ?

U can try to disasamble everything and reasamble them... also see that u have a propper isolation between the motherboard and the case. And if u can messure the power supply;'s parrameters

I JUST INSTALLED A NEW MOTHERBOARD IN A PC THAT IM BUILDING FOR A FRIEND. ITS AN INTEL DESKTOP #D945GCPE IT HAS A DUAL CORE PROCESSOR 2GB DDR2,80GB IDE HARD DRIVE. WHEN I TURN IT ON, EVERYTHING WORKS...

During the boot up process are there any beeps? If so how many short or long? 1 short beep is typical of a normal boot indicating no conflicts. What you can also do is unplug or remove any unnecessary peripherals (i.e. Hard drive, cd drive, any expansion cards) So that all you have is the the power supply, monitor cable, motherboard, cpu, and memory plugged in and attempt to boot. If this is successful add one peripheral at a time and boot again untill the boot fails again. This will usually indicate a problem with the power supply, either its faulty or not providing enough wattage to support all the peripherals, otherwise its a conflict with the specific peripheral that causes the failure. IF none of that works attempt to reseat all your connections, cpu socket, memory socket, power supply, and video cable. If all that still fails it is most likely a bad motherboard, its not unheard of to receive a DOA motherboard. As a last ditch attempt you can determine is a faulty video chip or the motherboard itself by installing a pci video card and seeing if its successfully boots.

G31MXP FAILS TO BOOT WITH CORE 2 QUAD

What Core 2 Quad processor are you trying to use? Most likely it's not supported by that board due to voltage limitations.

Not booting up

on the motherboard you will be having the 2032 CMOS battery cell remove that and replace that after 5 or 10 mins or put the battery cell new one and after that try booting your system then you will get the CMOS error after that try setting your CMOS if your keyboard works and save it and then exit the error will not come up again ..
if you are unable to identify the CMOS battery just refer to your motherboard manual it will be clearly mentioned where it is located ..

if you still couldnt able work with the keyboard then this may be due to 2 causes
1) The BIOS might have got corrupted ..
if so then change the BIOS jumper to recovery mode. to change to recovery mode just you can refer to the motherboard manual it will be mentioned more clearly how to do it ... once you do this the keyboard will work..

2) The capacitor near by the ports might have dead so due to that you might not get the power supply to the ports in the motherboard ..

if the capacitor is dead then you must visit the motherboard technician and get it replaced ..

thank you
bye any doubts you can reply me
i am always here to assist you
please rate my solution
have a nice day

New motherboard will not boot

It appears that you are aware of Motherboard jumpers.

1. Reset BIOS settings by CMOS Clear jumper ( Location of jumber is given on the sticker / manual of motherboard )

2. Try updating BIOS of your motherboard from the following link :
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Filter_Results.aspx?strOSs=All&strTypes=All&ProductID=2838&lang=eng&OSFullName=All%20Operating%20Systems

3. Plug only Optical Driver / Hard disk at a time and check.

4. Contact your vendor and get the motherboard replaced.

X7DAE at the time of boot stuck on logo

the broblem is probably your keyboard, since del doesn't work then this indicates that your keyboard could have some wires cut from inside the wire casing due to various reasons or the keyboard plug isn't well attached to the wires or have some bent pins.

my advice : go buy a new keyboard.
