So where's the free driver download for my HPdeskjet 3650 (from 2000) at? It was working now there is an error message and it won't print squat. This error message is real annoying.. Nothing prints anymore!

If it copies ok, then the issue is either the way it is cabled to computer or the print driver software settings on pc.... How is it connected via USB? Check port and correct driver is in windows/control panel/printers. Reinstall.

In this error condition, the following light pattern displays on the product control panel and a message might display on the computer:

• Print Cartridge status light : On
• Resume light : Off
• Power light : On

Causes
• The cover on the product might be open.
• There might be a problem with one or both cartridges.

Solutions Follow these solutions in the order presented to resolve the issue. Solution one: Close the top cover on the printer

1. If the cover on the product is open, close it.
2. Press the Resume button ( ) to continue printing.

Solution two: Determine the cartridge issue When there is an issue with a cartridge, a yellow arrow on top of the carriage (inside the product) points to a drawing of a cartridge that indicates what the issue is. Follow these steps to determine the cartridge issue, and then continue to the next section for solutions to resolve the issue.

1. Open the top cover on the product. Wait for the carriage to move. The yellow arrow on top of the carriage (inside the product) points to a drawing of a cartridge that indicates what the issue is.
2. Look at the drawing and then find the icon in the following figure that matches the drawing. Each of these icons represents a different cartridge issue. Use the icons to determine the cartridge issue. delete both and re install.
If you are missing a dll then you may have had a virus that infected some files, and these may have been removed with a scan.
If you dont have your driver disc, download your software from HP / support http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=304535&lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=uk

Try installing the drivers as Administrator, and set Compatibility Mode for XP SP 2. Right click on main programs exe, and select from Properties.
make sure you have the latest drivers for your printer.

Your drivers installation is corrupt so download new installation from above link.

Try updating the printers firmware.

If the problem remains, try replacing the driver with a PostScript-driver. That should help you out.
