Apr 10, 2014 - Occasionally, when using power settings that are lower then the normal 100% cooking power, the light inside the microwave cavity may dim.

I've seen this with most microwave ovens I've had. When the microwave emitter kicks in to cook, the unit uses much more power, providing less to the internal bulb, which dims a bit. Unless it's very dramatic, for example the bulb turning off or going almost out, it's normal behavior. If the bulb is going very dim or out, it could be that the circuit it's connected to isn't providing enough amperage to adequately run the oven. In the case of your microwave, it's rated at 15 amps, so should have adequate power on a standard household circuit by itself.

the light buld can be changed from inside the case normaly if it cant be, then drop it in the shop for a repair or use it with out a light in it,,

if the light comes on and you here it buzzing but its still not heating up its likley to be the megertron burned out,, (thats the aerial for the microwave's to transmit off) its very expenive to replace,,,
bont try replacing it yourself, inside the microwave is very high voltage even if its been turned off for a long time,, 1000's of volts and they kill,,

to be realy honest ,,, yes! but be warned there is a very big capacitor inside this microwave and it will be charged up with 1000's of volts,

if i were you i would drop it into the repair man to get him to fix it for you,,, or get a new microwave,, there very cheep now,, is it realy worth killing your self for a fuw bucks?

the problem with microwaves is there like light bulds,,, fine for years then the just pop off, whatever it is there is very little you yourself can do with it bar check the plug fuse,, if thats ok dont even think of opening it up to have a look inside, you are very likley to just kill yourself

your internal unit fuse has opoened

If one of the surface light bulbs burnt out it may have shorted out the control board. Take the control board out and look for a burnt spot on the board. It may be able to be repaired with a drop of solder or solder in a jumper wire. Or you can purchase a new board, which may cost more than you want to put into the microwave.
